Eleana Georgouli has completed her BA at the school of Dramatic Arts: Art Theatre “Karolos Koun” in Athens and continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Exeter with an MA in Theatre Practice where she graduated with honors. During her MA and under the guidance of her teacher Phillip Zarrilli, Eleana focused on the application of the phychophysical training of Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan & Kalaripayattu as an actor’s- performer’s training.
From 2008 until now she continues to train in the path of yoga and have completed multiple trainings with teachers like Phillip Zarrilli, Vivi Letsou, Sue Elkind, Todd Norian, Andreas Provellegkios.. She has also attended workshops & master classes with teachers like Jeff Fisher & Ezgi Taslidere, Leslie Kaminoff, Simon Borg-Olivier, Eddie and Jocelyn Stern, Dafne Sueman, David Lee Lurey etc.
From 2009 to now, she teaches daily classes. Her classes are influenced by the in depth aligment of Anusara and Abhaya Yoga as well as by the dynamic characteristics of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She is particularly interested in applications of Yoga in the stage presence and the performer’s physical training, as well as the beneficial and therapeutic effects of Hatha Yoga to people with chronic diseases. This period of time she teaches regular classes at her own space: “Samavesha Yoga Studio” as well as teaching classes next to her teacher Vivi Letsou at NYSY Studios and Abhaya Yoga Home.
