Join Sue Elkind for this special two-day postnatal yoga training designed to help yoga teachers and new moms better understand the pathway to empowerment as a mother through yoga.
A woman’s journey back into her body after birth can be overwhelming without proper support. For some, it may take years before she feels like ‘herself’, and even then, her body may not ‘come back together’ quite the same way. Fortunately, there are safe and effective yoga practices that a woman can (and should) do after birth, and throughout motherhood. This training will provide key support and sequential practices to help a woman regain strength & pelvic floor health. We will take a deeper look at postnatal ‘conditions’ and learn therapeutic tools to help alleviate unwanted tension and diminish pain. Pranayama, restoratives and meditation will also be incorporated to help balance the hormones and calm the nervous system…something we all can use!
*All hours count towards continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance.
