Compassion in Action: NVC & Embodied Movement
June 23, 2023 - June 25, 2023
270€Compassion in Action: NVC & Embodied Movement with Cat McCarthy
Move from inner friction & conflict to Connection, Freedom, & Creativity
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) helps us compassionately understand our conditioned behavior and offers a new lens through which to view the world. Cat McCarthy will introduce the key NVC concepts as a foundation upon which to build a practice. We will acquire tools of emotional intelligence to help generate untapped neural pathways for empathy in order to cultivate compassion with ourselves and the surrounding world.
Further, with Yoga & Embodied movement we will be able to move from places where tension, pain, and trauma are stored in our bodies to a state of flow and release through empathy practices.
Description
Cat McCarthy is an international yoga trainer, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) facilitator, and Compassionate Inquiry practitioner. In this training, Cat will guide us through the theory and practice of NVC, with a journey through our physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Imagine feeling heard, seen, and understood in a safe, spacious, and uninterrupted manner. This is empathy.
Over three full days, we will develop a new relationship with our feelings, learn to translate our judgments into core values, and practice empathy exchange. There will be a mix of playful exercises, embodied movement, and group discussion, so please bring an open heart and a curious mind. With a relationship to our feelings and needs, we can create stronger relationships, both inside and out. Get ready to shift your perspective on a cellular level!

By far the best yoga teacher I’ve ever experienced. Thank you, Cat, for teaching me yoga is more than just the poses – it’s meditation , it’s being content with where you are right now, and it permeates into the rest of your life.
