ABHAYA, inspired by the Hindu and Buddhist Mudra that signifies ΄NO FEAR΄, is a yogic path that seeks to align all parts of our life with the heart, our inner truth, the divine essence in all beings. Aligning with the hihest power and deepest truth in us makes us fearless. Thus we embody ABHAYA MUDRA!
Created by Rusty Wells, one of America’s most beloved modern yogis, this is a strong flow of asanas that links movement with breath. Developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, this dynamic practice incorporates rigorous breath and a set sequence of postures that stretch the body in all directions. The combination of breath and postures creates heat, which helps to stretch and strengthen the muscles, while cleansing the organs and ridding the system of toxins. A highly disciplined and rigorous workout.
Yoga teachers and serious practitioners meet for an early morning practice that includes asana, pranayama, and meditation. With the support of fellow yogis, we seek to deepen our practice and build a kula—a friendly yogic community.
