From Sri T. Krishnamacharya’s Vinyasas, to the Vinyasa Krama Sequences by Srivatsa Ramaswami, to Sri Pattabhi Jois’ Ashtanga, all the way to modern Vinyasa schools, we yogins are called to choose the style that suits our needs according to our age, season, and state of health.
In this compact training, we will follow the traditional vinyasa sequences mentioned above, and fresh Kriyas (asana with pranayama and bandha focus) to connect with the deep fountain of energy/PRANA in us. This is the magic key that unlocks our INFINITE energy potential and leads to INFINITE VINYASA possibilities. All yogins and yoga teachers should be familiar with this inner guide to yoga practice and sequencing.
Practice sessions will be accompanied by lecture and philosophy.
Zen Meditation and Breathing Meditations from the classic Tantric Text, the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, will make the teaching come alive in us. Do not be surprised if you discover a powerful and restorative Prana Shakti that may just transform EVERYTHING in your practice and life!

Vinyasa Krama Sequences: History and Practice
As Yoga teachers and practitioners we need to have a good understanding of the roots of Vinyasa Sequencing and the principles that were passed on to us by the founder of modern yoga, Sri TKV Krishnamacharya. We will study the structure of the 11 classical sequences of Vinyasa Krama taught by Srivacha Ramaswami, and practice some of them so we can have an experience of Vinyasa through our body and breath in the present moment…

Infinite Vinyasa Sequencing: Teaching to the person in front of you
Creating Yogasana or Vinyasa sequences, with one foot steeped in the classical tradition and the other rooted in our personal experience of NOW is our goal. Working with partners, we are given different scenarios for teaching students with a variety of needs, age, and circumstances. We learn to create appropriate sequences by listening to our inner guidance and each other’ s feedback. Learn to be an authentic teacher, with a clear voice and true intention. Then your intention hits the target and you become the teacher or yogin you always wanted to be. Abhaya is about connecting with our own fearlessness and making a difference in the world.

Modified Ashtanga Vinyasa: Structured Practice becomes Personal
Practicing the classical First Series Ashtanga Vinyasa, with a softer tone, and a deeper sense of Bandhas and Pranayama, we focus not so much on the structure and the way asana practice should look like, but on the felt experience of what our body in the present moment. Thus we connect with our inner flow of prana/consciousness. Listening, being aligned with what goes on inside, our practice becomes a personal, fresh, alive experience. Healing and transformation happen just then.
Infinite Vinyasa: Simple, Dynamic Asana & Focused Pranayama
Abhaya refers to the fearlessness that comes from connecting directly with the truth of our heart. In this Vinyasa class we will listen to verses from the classic Text, the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, and practice specific breath meditations. Connecting with the ever present flow of breath/prana in us, we will move from that place. The possibilities are INFINITE, but our expression in the present moment is ONE. Move with certainty and learn how to be authentic—true to your body’ s expression NOW.

Vivi Letsou Bio
A visionary and activist for positive change, Vivi loves to share the way of Yoga and Zen, two paths she has sought to combine for over 20 years, while a filmmaker in California. She returned to Greece in 2004 with a strong impetus to join and create enlightened communities.
Through her journey of teaching Yoga and practicing Zen, Vivi has been able to find a way of Practice & Action that makes us strong in all levels and helps us to triumph even in challenging circumstances. Amidst the Greek economic crisis, Vivi and her beloved husband, Eraj, have managed to create successfully: NYSY Academy for Yoga and Pilates, and Avocado Vegetarian Café—two bright centers in the heart of Athens. Recently they completed another life long dream, building Zen Rocks, a stunningly beautiful retreat center in Mani/Southern Greece, dedicated to re-building human potential through the healing practices of Zen, Yoga, meditation, nutrition, and restorative living.
On the path of yoga, Vivi is a strong and charismatic Yoga Teacher and Teachers’ Educator. She has trained well over 200 yoga teachers. Having taught in the traditions of Ashtanga, Anusara, and Vinyasa Yoga, Vivi has created Abhaya Yoga—a style that combines dynamic alignment-based asana, with the empowering philosophy of Tantra and Buddhist ideal of compassion for all beings. With passion and enthusiasm, Vivi shares this incredible Abhaya Yoga journey with friends who are ready for transformation.
